Head of Key Account Management (m/f/d)

Job Description:

Over more than 35 years, our client has established a global leadership position in high-end light measurement systems. The team of this Germany-based corporation enjoys the agility of a medium-sized company as well as the safety and career perspectives of its mother, an international high-tech enterprise. The global customer base includes renowned manufacturers of LEDs, displays, and automotive accessories on top of leading test laboratories and research institutions.

The sales team in Munich keeps growing and is looking for you as a Head of Key Account Management (m/f/d)

In this key role you drive strategic business growth by identifying highpotential market opportunities and lead a high-performing Key Account Management team. Supported by our client’s strong brand and technology leadership you will orchestrate complex, cross-functional sales projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify market opportunities in a systematic way and evaluate them from both a technological and commercial perspective.
  • Develop tailored sales strategies and lead the Key Account Management team toward clear growth targets.
  • Manage complex sales projects end-to-end while aligning all technical, commercial, and logistical requirements.
  • Act as the central bridge between clients and internal engineering, service, and operations teams.
  • Leverage sales metrics for accurate forecasting while building strong networks with key stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Technologies, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in global technical sales, key account management or business development of technical high-end products, preferably in the field of optics/photonics.
  • Strong leadership experience with a focus on team development, motivation, and goal achievement.
  • Exceptional strategic and entrepreneurial acumen to balance commercial profitability with technical feasibility.
  • Solid understanding in optics, light measurement, or display technology.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and trustworthy personality with excellent communication skills in german and english.
