Apply for a presentation at the Industrial Vision Days

If you are introducing innovative technology or solutions, a presentation at the Industrial Vision Days forum is a good way to gain additional exposure. Not only will you demonstrate your expertise in front of a highly qualified audience, but presentations are also recorded so you can use the material for content marketing even beyond the show.

Participation is free of charge for exhibitors, but speeches are selected by a jury – so there is no guarantee to be selected. The Industrial Vision Days are not a product promotion platform. Your presentation must be of general interest for the vision industry to have a chance to be selected.

We submitted a presentation on behalf of Gidel with the title “Overcoming bandwidth limitations of vision on the edge”:

  • submitted the abstract
  • prepared the slide deck
  • even jumped in to deliver the speech when the speaker could not travel due to COVID-19 travel limitations

Apply for the VISION Award

The VISION Award honours the best innovation in the field of image processing during the show. If you have a game-changing product or solution, submit it to the award jury!

Awards are a great way to gain exposure and build credibility. Even if you don’t win the award, being nominated already gets you attention, recognition and an opportunity to present your innovation to a larger audience.

In 2024, we helped Murrelektronik craft their submission to the VISION Award and achieved a nomination in the five shortlisted companies. We also designed their presentation at the award ceremony. This was a great opporunity for Murrelektronik to showcase their connectivity innovations for the vision industry.

Freeze your key message

Three months before the show, you should have a clear booth concept. This goes beyond deciding which products or demos to display – it’s about defining your core message. Can you summarize your value proposition in a single sentence? Visitors are exposed to a flood of information at trade shows. A clear, concise message is what they’ll remember.

This key message is essential because it will be repeated on every touchpoint of VISION visitors: your booth layout, artwork, collaterals, and communication campaign.

Gidel showcased advanced frame grabbing and compression technologies that accelerate image acquisition and free host processing power. The motto we developed together for their booth: “Boost your vision!”

Create your print collaterals

Even in a digital world, brochures and datasheets still matter at trade shows. Yes, many will be discarded – but they create an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations. And frankly, how sure can you be that visitors will ever visit that website you directed them to?
 
If you don’t have materials ready, now is the time to produce them. Writing, design, revisions, and printing all take time!

We developed a 4-page flyer for Eigen Innovations, including an infographic summarizing their offerings, printed and delivered directly to their booth in Stuttgart.

Finalize your booth design

If you’re a larger corporation working with a large contractor, your concept is likely finalized. For smaller exhibitors using turnkey packages offered by Messe Stuttgart, adjustments may still be possible. Think beyond standard furniture!

  • How can you personalize the space?
  • Do you have the right lighting and power supply?
  • Have you considered adapters, AV equipment, or demo requirements?

There are many details to think of and to order in time to avoid bad surprises on build-up day.

For Gidel, we added subtle branding touches like a carpet and chairs in each of their logo colors to create a distinctive look within budget.

Create multimedia content

Even simple animations can make a strong impression! Two and a half months before the show, it is still time to create such content.

Plan your pre-show campaign

You have invested a lot of money and effort in your VISION booth. What can you do to attract visitors and draw attention? Just like a product launch, your exhibition deserves a dedicated promotional campaign. This can include:

Book Messe Stuttgart advertising

Messe Stuttgart offers numerous advertising opportunities around the VISION show –  on-site, in print, and online.

Many spaces are limited, so early booking is key. Aim to secure placements by mid-August at the latest.

Options include:

  • Enhanced exhibitor listings
  • Website and newsletter banners 
  • Signage on the fair ground and in the halls

An enhanced listing with your company logo in the printed exhibitor directory is a an affordable way to stand out of the crowd.

More costly options include online banners on the VISION website and newsletters, up to an outdoor display at the entrance of the exhibition hall.

Plan on-site logistics

One month to go – don’t overlook practical details:

  • Catering (coffee, drinks, snacks)
  • Cleaning services
  • Security
  • Build-up/dismantling logistics
If you are a small exhibitor, you probably have neither space nor budget for a full-blown catering. However, having at least some water or soft drinks and some snacks to offer to your visitors is a must. You may just buy everything at a supermarket nearby and bring it every morning. 
 
Or why not plan snacks as a branded giveaway and order chocolate or candy with your logo on the package rather than yet another pen?

Create and share live content

Capture the energy of the event and share it live on social media! This may include:

  • Booth setup (behind-the-scenes)
  • Booth activity and visitor engagement
  • Staff interviews

Trade shows provide a unique opportunity to create long-lasting content. Short product explainer videos filmed on-site can fuel your marketing long after the event ends.

You can use a professional crew – or simply your smartphone. However, if you plan staff interviews, be sure to have a microphone so their voice is not covered by the show noise.

We shot a series of educational videos at Emberion’s booth at Automatica 2025, using their demos to showcase their technology.
