Q2/2026 SERP Report: Edmund Optics Challenged on “Machine Vision Lens” Keyword

SERP report machine vision lens

The quarterly update of our Search Engine Ranking Positions Report (SERP) shows long-time leaders are challenged for the top rankings, as the examples of Edmund Optics and Smart Vision Lights show.

The Search Engine Ranking Position of a domain for a given keyword is a good indication of the SEO performance of a website and its relevance in that field. Here is a summary of our quarterly SERP report for machine vision related search terms.

Machine Vision Camera: Q1 newcomer confirms strong performance

For the machine vision camera keyword, Basler has maintained its leadership position for more than six months.

In our previous report, we highlighted the impressive performance of a new domain that entered the rankings in February. This competitor appears to be here to stay, having remained in the top five every month throughout Q2/2026. Get the full report to find out who it is!

Machine Vision Lens: Edmund Optics under pressure

Edmundoptics.com, the long-time leader for the machine vision lens keyword, was overtaken for the first time in March. In Q2 2026, its challenger maintained the momentum, securing the #1 position in both May and June.

Further down the rankings, a new domain, coincidentally the same newcomer making gains in the camera category, entered the top 10 in April, highlighting a strong overall SEO performance.

Machine Vision Light: Smart Vision Lights faces growing competition

The rankings for machine vision lighting have changed dramatically over the past year.

Historically, search positions were relatively stable, with Smart Vision Lights dominating the category. That stability disappeared at the beginning of 2026. The first warning sign came in February, when SVL lost its top ranking to a competitor.

In Q2 2026, two additional domains overtook smartvisionlights.com, signaling an increasingly competitive battle for SEO leadership.

Machine vision software: Surprise newcomer builds momentum

In Q1/2026, we reported the entry of a domain that had never previously appeared in the top 10 since we began tracking these rankings.

The newcomer continued its strong performance in Q2, maintaining a top-10 position every month and proving that its earlier success was no coincidence.

CoaXPress frame grabber: Allied Vision challenges Euresys

One of the biggest stories in our previous report was Allied Vision‘s entry into the top 10 rankings for the CoaXPress frame grabber keyword.

This development was clearly linked to the rebranding of all TKH Vision 2D companies under the Allied Vision brand, including Euresys. Unlike its sister brands, however, Euresys retained its website and domain—a strategic decision considering its long-standing dominance in frame grabber-related search results.

In Q2 2026, Allied Vision overtook Euresys and reached the #1 position in June.
